Self-assessed tax is still getting amortized in an MPA invoice

Summary:

We are using Multiperiod Accounting (MPA) for AP invoices in Oracle Fusion Payables.

Observed behavior:

  • When an invoice with MPA start and end dates is initially accounted:
    • Invoice line expense is prorated correctly
    • Self-assessed non-recoverable tax expense is also initially prorated in line with the MPA schedule
  • When we subsequently update the MPA end date on the invoice and reaccount:
    • Invoice line expense distributions are recalculated correctly
    • Normal non-recoverable tax (invoice line tax) is recalculated correctly
    • Self-assessed non-recoverable tax distributions are NOT recalculated and remain based on the original MPA dates
