How to change the start date of an included warranty?

Currently the included warranty on Fusion is created based on the ship date and probably with a specific offset for installation purposes. However, if an OEM is selling to a distributor and distributor is selling to an end customer, how to change the warranty start date to the time of sale from distributor to end customer? Is there an option around this? Change of Customer name on included warranty works but start date is still an issue. Distributor sometimes can hold the items (as they have not been able to sell it quicker). It would be of great help if
