Critical Issue: Instance "instance-20250924-2030" unavailable due to underlying infrastructure error

Hello,

I am seeking urgent assistance regarding a failure of an OCI Compute instance in the Johannesburg region. This instance is the core of an automated AI workflow and its downtime is blocking my production.

Instance Details:

  • Name: instance-20250924-2030
  • OCID: ocid1.instance.oc1.af-johannesburg-1.anvg4ljr2odzusqc6m4kllfuraffagflt6hxjrqhehs2xvnseikqohvncnbq
  • Region: af-johannesburg-1

The Issue:The instance is currently in a "Stopped" state and cannot be started. When attempting to start it via the OCI Console, the following error is displayed:

"This instance is currently unavailable due to a issue with the underlying infrastructure. If the instance is unavailable for more than 30 minutes, contact technical support. To receive a notification when the instance becomes available again, monitor the Instance Status metric."
