Automatic "En Route" status update

Summary:

Hello,
We've enabled the "En Route Support" checkbox so that when an activity is completed, the next activity's status is automatically updated to "en route."

When I end the activity using the native end button (end_activity), it works perfectly.

The problem arises when I end the activity through a Plugin using the close method; the next activity doesn't update to the "en route" status, meaning it remains "Pending."

I've been reviewing and testing this documentation, but I haven't found a solution:

What could be causing this error?
