Family and Emergency Contacts during Hire – no match with existing persons in the system
Summary:
Hi everyone,
during the Hire an Employee transaction, in the Family and Emergency Contacts section, we noticed that the application does not match or suggest existing person records already present in the system.
Even when a person (for example a dependent or contact) already exists in Oracle HCM with matching details (name, date of birth, etc.), the Hire flow always requires creating a new contact, instead of reusing or linking to an existing person record.
Could you please clarify:
- whether this is expected behavior during the Hire transaction,
- if there is any matching logic available for Family and Emergency Contacts,
