OIC Gen3 – REST Adapter “Unable to add AttachmentRecordElement to inputRecord”

Summary:

I am facing an issue while invoking a third-party REST API from Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Gen3 using the REST Adapter.

The request method is POST, and the request payload is very large, so I configured the REST Adapter request as Binary 

Content-Type: application/octet-stream

However, at runtime the integration fails with the following error:

Unable to add AttachmentRecordElement to inputRecord. Invalid logical path

I have also tested the request without setting the Content-Type header, but the same error occurs.


Seeking an help on this issue with the community if anyone encounter this issue before.

Any guidance or workaround would be greatly appreciated.
