"Ban The Box" process changes

Hi, all.  At Sunrise, we collect the information needed to run a background check on a prospective employee during the initial Taleo expression of interest process.  This means that we do ask about criminal convictions.  We don't ask about DOB and SSN.  At the conclusion of the process, the applicant completes the e-signature process certifying his responses.

According to the Massachusetts law, questions about criminal convictions can no longer be asked during the initial application process.  This does leave you the ability to ask the appropriate questions at the interview or in a pre-interview screen, but at that point, you need some sort of process to collect the criminal conviction information, have the applicant certify it, and then store and maintain it for later retrieval and use, and to link it to the information you already collected during the initial Taleo-based process.

Howdy, Stranger!
