Regarding - Alerts Failure during Bulk Load

in Reporting and Analytics for HCM

Summary:
We have implemented multiple custom BI Publisher–based alerts that are triggered on specific business scenarios and scoped to particular Business Units.

During bulk data loads (via HDL/PBL/Extracts), these alerts are intentionally paused to avoid false or excessive notifications. Once the bulk load is completed, the alerts are resumed.

However, post‑resumption, we consistently observe inconsistent alert behavior, including:

  • Alerts being skipped even though qualifying transactions exist in the dataset
  • Duplicate or repeated alerts for the same transaction

This behavior occurs without any changes to the data model or bursting logic and is intermittent in nature.
