Definition of Start Date and Enterprise Start Date on the Redwood Employment info page?

Summary:

There are 2 or 3 similar posts on Customer Connect from users asking for guidance on what Start Date and Enterprise Start Date relate to in the Redwood Employment Info page. None of the responses are definitive and they even contradict each other. This ties into the question 'Where is the Hire Date?' on this page and is it now just Start Date?

Can anyone on this community provide a clear definition on these fields?

The example in this screenshot is for an employee who was added as a Pending Worker on 3-Feb-26, hired as an employee on 1-Mar-26 then given a temporary assignment on 4-Mar-26. The action in the screenshot is of the Temporary Assignment. Enterprise Start Date and Start Date are equal to the date of the Hire but are they really the Legal Employer Start Date? Why is Enterprise Start Date not 3-Feb-26? There are so many questions and I would like to understand the logic being used to derive these date or at least what database table.column are they coming from.
