How to retain the existing permission of target server while migrating #BIP report

in Reporting & Analytics for Fusion Service

Please could you help us in the process how we can retain the existing permission in target system when we get the BIP report migrated after modification.

For example, if there is already a report existing in production with specific permissions (other than parent folder) and we modify this report in development remigrate the report to production through export and import functionality, all existing permissions gets replaced by folder permissions and we have to reconfigure permissions again.

Q1. we like to ensure that existing permission on report should be retained when we migrate the report from dev to prod. 

Q2. We are also trying with archive and unarchive but could not find any documentation which explains the meaning of each option available while archiving and unarchiving like for ACL/Seurity settings. Could you please explain each property in both settings or provide us a link of documentation to refer?
