Intercompany Calendar Switch
Summary:
Intercompany calendar in Fusion was changed to the Monthly calendar, rather than the 4-5-4 one 3 years back. The reason for that was that the monthly period-end dates generally fall later than the 4-5-4 period-end dates (eg. 31st January vs 25th January), enabling us to sweep intercompany transactions in 'the gap' into the next period.
Going forward, we will no longer have any entities using the Monthly calendar. Therefore, the only reason I can see for us having to keep the Monthly calendars updated would be for the IC calendar (which doesn't necessarily seem worthwhile, when all entities are on a 4-5-4 calendar!). Does it make sense to change the Intercompany Calendar back to 4-5-4 please, or might there be some unforeseen consequences we need to consider (including any interaction with Oracle Retail - RMS)?
