The candidate type showing external instead ex employee

Summary:

Hi Team,

A former employee applied for a position through the careers site, and the candidate type is currently showing as External (Candidate Number: 4876575).

The recruiters identified a duplicate profile and merged the external candidate

record with the former employee record (Candidate Number: 11646).After the merge, the candidate number was updated to the former employee's number (11646); however, the candidate type is still displaying as External instead of Ex-Employee.

I have added the steps in detail. please find the attachment

Could you please advise on how this can be resolved?
