Can we create recurring Journals in GL using only two Active accounts?

Summary:

i want to create a recurring journal for only two accounts. But I am unable to find any documentation or link where it is using two accounts. In all of it they are using 3 accounts. 1 offset, 1 source and 1 target.

So is it possible to create a recurring journal using only 2 accounts? If yes, can someone please suggest me or help me with the same.
