How to apply credit check hold to a revision after submission

If the original order is under a credit-check hold, we need any revision to be submitted successfully but then automatically placed on a hold as well. Additionally, if the hold on the original order is released and a revision increases the total order amount, we want to reapply the same credit-related hold (a custom hold is acceptable if the seeded credit hold can’t be re-triggered).

Today we’re using the “Skip Credit Check” extension to bypass credit checking; however, when we disable it, the revision gets stuck in “Credit Review Pending.” The goal is to avoid the pending state, allow submission, and then apply a hold to the revision immediately after submission.
