USOPTE: Tax Jurisdiction Card and Tax Withholding Card

Good morning!

I want to make sure I understand the relationship between the Tax Jurisdiction (TJ) and Tax Withholding (TW) Cards when we implement USOPTE.

  • Tax Jurisdictions (TJ) Card: Stores the derived tax jurisdictions based on residency and work location. ( ). The TJ card is part of USOPTE, and will only be created for new hires and verified addresses.
  • Tax Withholding (TW) Card: Stores the actual withholding rates, tax elections, and overrides. ( )

Both cards will exist in Oracle when we move to USOPTE and Tax Jurisdiction cards are created. I realize not everybody will have a TJ card until we verify addresses for existing employees.
