Why there are multiple planned order for a single item to fulfill a single demand ?

Hi experts,

We have constrained supply planning where we tried lead time supplier for 1 single buy item for testing purpose.

  1. There are sales order in 30 June but there are also past due SO and SO in February, SP creates one planned order for buy item with lead time based on the aggregate of these demands with suggested date in February. Is this the expected behavior ? to aggregate future demand in one single planned order because with 60 days lead time the planned order for the buy item should be in May.

2. There are also buy items without lead time supplier. But with the particular item having multiple planned order that is pegged to single sales order, why is that ?
