Mass Rescheduling of Sales Order without Backlog Management.

Summary:

Our client has a requirement to automatically reschedule sales order lines when the Scheduled Ship Date is more than 21 days out and stock is available. They would like this rescheduling to happen automatically without manual intervention. Is there any standard out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality available to retrigger the rescheduling process, or would this require a custom program or enhancement? Your insights would be appreciated.
