ARCS - Transaction Matching. Disposition of difference

edited Feb 27, 2026 6:53PM in Planning 2 comments

Summary:

In Oracle Transaction Matching, is it expected that the Overview tab shows a remaining difference equal to the total GL adjustments created, even after those adjustments have been posted to the General Ledger?

In my case:

  • The GL adjustments were created on the GL side in Transaction Matching.
  • The journal entries have already been posted in the General Ledger.
  • Transactions are properly matched after the adjustments.
  • The GL balance has been verified and matches the GL unadjusted balance.
  • The remaining difference in the Overview equals exactly the total adjustments.

Is this expected behavior in Transaction Matching?

Is there any closing step or process required in Transaction Matching to bring the Overview difference to zero, or will the difference remain until the GL balances are reloaded? I am not sure if it is considered good practice to replace the GL balance in this situation.
