ERP Cloud Configuration → PCM Integration from the PCM Environment

I am currently working directly within the Oracle Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management Cloud environment and would like guidance regarding the configuration of an integration from Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP to PCM using Data Exchange.
From the PCM perspective, the objective is to receive GL actual balances from ERP for subsequent cost allocation processing. My focus is on understanding the expected configuration within PCM when it acts as the target system in a direct ERP integration.
My understanding is that the process should include creating an ERP Cloud connection in Data Exchange, defining the source Ledger and balance type, mapping ERP accounting segments to PCM model dimensions, and executing the Import, Validate, and Export steps. However, I would like to confirm whether this is the recommended approach when the integration is configured from the PCM environment.
