Transferring payroll for active employees

in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI)

We are consolidating from three biweekly payrolls down to one, so we have a requirement to transition active employees to a new payroll definition, without any gaps in dates.

Current payroll: pay period ends on 3/28/26 for a Sunday to Saturday definition, with final paydate for this payroll assignment being 4/3/26. New payroll relationship (Saturday to Friday definition) needs to begin on 3/29/26. When closing the current payroll with a 3/28/26 LSED and LSPD and a 4/3/26 Final Close, and adding the new payroll with a 3/29/26 start date, element entries are not effective end dating correctly.

Any element entry with an effective start date between 3/29 and 4/3 is using an effective end date of 4/11, which is a Saturday and is the end date of the old payroll definition. We need this effective end dates to be 4/10, following the new payroll definition. What do we need to do to accomplish this?
