Catalog Administration Profiles - Assign but not Edit

Hi All,

We are exploring the Catalog Administration Profiles currently and it has been raised if there's a way for Learning Admins to all be able to see and assign ALL learning items but not edit them without being a 'named contributor'? From my research and reading I do not think this is possible but I just wanted to make sure that there was not something I had missed.
