Is it possible to add a custom favicon to Taleo?

I tired  uploading an ICO format Favicon via the "Manage Images" interface. Taleo  lets you do this, but doesn't seem to recognize the image format and  won't assign a valid URL to image.

I know I can use the PNG format, but that won't work in all browsers.

Is this possible? What am I missing?
