The error notification for Journal approval

Hi Team,

We are testing the journal approval process in which the approval should route to the requester's manager. When the manager is not associated with the requester, the approval ends in an error. The expected behavior is that the requester should receive an error notification. However, in most cases, the requester does not receive the error message after submitting a new journal for approval, although a few journals did generate the notification.

Could you please advise how this issue can be resolved?
