Hello,

I am wondering if Oracle has any 1099 csv reporting (Updated US 1099 Media Report) or supplier module enhancements in the pipeline to address the following:

The IRS is retiring its Filing Information Returns Electronically (FIRE) system in December 2026, transitioning to the Information Returns Intake System (IRIS). FIRE and IRIS will run concurrently for tax year 2025 filings, with full transition for 2026 forms filed in 2027.

Key Details on the FIRE System Retirement

  • Timeline: The FIRE system will be fully retired by December 2026.
  • Replacement System: The Information Returns Intake System (IRIS) will replace FIRE.
  • Impacted Filings: The retirement applies to electronic information returns. IRIS is expanding to support Forms 1042-S, 1099-DA, and 5498-QA for tax year 2025.
