Is Journal Line Sequencing functionality available?
Summary:
We understand standard Oracle Document Sequencing functionality can be used to assign an accounting sequence at the journal header level.
As an extension to this, we have another a requirement to ensure the Journal Line Number is gapless, that is, it must be sequential without gaps e.g. Journal Line Number 1, 2, 3, 4 etc…
It should not have Journal Line Numbers skipped e.g. 1, 3, 4, 5, where Journal Line Number 2 was deleted.
From what we can see there is no localization or standard Oracle functionality available.
Has anyone had such a requirement and how did you handle it?
