Bulk update classic courses to populate the new Redwood attributes

How can we bulk update classic courses to populate the new Redwood attributes?

When we edit a classic course in the Redwood unified learning catalog, it shows empty values in the new Redwood attributes such as Learning Format, Publisher, Initial Assignment Status, Learner Info Collection. In Redwood UI, these fields are required to have a value.

We could leave these fields empty, and manually populate them only when there is a need to update a classic course. Is that what most customers do?

Would it be possible to bulk update our classic courses to populate these fields? In HDL the CourseV3.dat does not hold these fields, and I cannot find a REST API to do the updates either.
