USOPTE Transition: Local Tax (City/Head Tax) Ignoring Timecard Overrides in favor of Tax Calculation

Hi All,

We are testing the switch of our tax engine from Vertex to USOPTE. Following this switch, we are observing a change in how local taxes (City and Head Tax) are being calculated for employees who submit timecards with varying work locations.

  • Previous Behavior (Vertex): The engine correctly prioritized the County, City, and State mentioned on the Timecard. Local taxes were withheld based on where the work was performed per the time entry.
  • Current Behavior (USOPTE): The engine appears to be ignoring the timecard location. Instead, it is calculating City and Head Tax based strictly on the Tax Calculation Card.
