EPBCS Reports vs EPCRS Narrative Reporting reports: what tool to choose?

Summary:

I need to build simple tabular reports with the possibility of creating books from these reports. No complex formatting or commentaries are required. The report runs will primarily happen from the web portal, occasionally from Excel SmartView, and in very rare cases via bursting to a very small group of individuals (for example, two persons twice a day with the same content).

I have two options: using the EPBCS Reports or the EPRCS Narrative Reporting environment. The same database will be used as the source in both cases. I understand that with the NR approach, I will be able to easily switch connections from test to production cubes; with EPBCS, I will have to recreate the reports or go through some complex, not user-friendly migrations.
