Error when publishing COA Hierarchy

when I try to publish the hierarchy after I close the control budget associated with it (process "Publish Chart of Account Hierarchies & Publish Chart of Account Dimension Members and Hierarchies to Balances Cubes in Parallel), I get
Error: "Outline verification errors:
\In an aggregate storage outline, only one shared member [31100_base] (including prototype) is allowed in a stored hierarchy.
\Shared member [31100_base] precedes its prototype."

Error:: One or more versions did not get published successfully for Chart Of Account : 8012 cube id : 500000096457932Cannot end incremental build. Essbase Error(1060053): Outline has errors

entailing that I have a duplicate node, but I can't find the duplicate value neither in the current tree nor the base "end dated" tree, and when I delete the value "Parent value "31100" that has one child, the issue is resolved.
