UK Local Government Pension Scheme changes April 2026

There are some important changes to LGPS contribution rules taking effect 1st April 2026. When will Oracle provide guidance and/or formula changes to support these changes?

There are two key changes:

  1. Authorised unpaid leave shorter than 15 days should not reduce pensionable pay.
  2. Assumed Pensionable Pay now covers the unpaid portion of ordinary maternity, adoption and shared parental leave

The unpaid leave seems to require a new absence type, which could be handled in-house, but the changes to APP are very complex and we can't be making our own changes to Oracle provided LGPS code.
