Can you translate a DFF Context Sensitive Segment "Default Value"?

As we've been trying to figure out how this might be done, we've been unable to come up with a solution that works. If we look under the "Global Translations" icon in the top right of the DFF context sensitive segment editor, we can see that "Name" and "Prompt" are translatable, but not "Default Value."

The other path we've tried is doing the "in-language" approach (for example, signing into our environment in Spanish, navigating to the DFF Context Sensitive Segment, and then replacing the English text with the translated Spanish text) - however, when we've done that, we do not see what we'd expect. What we see with this behavior on other pages is that when you view the field in English, the English remains. When viewed in Spanish, the Spanish translation remains. However in this case, when viewed in English, the Spanish value is visible, indicating to us that it replaced the English value
