Assignment EFF in “Promote and Change Position” Page

I need to migrate an autocomplete to Business Rules on the Redwood Promote and Change Position page. I’m doing it step by step and testing along the way, but in the very first step—checking whether the fields are not null—I’m already running into issues.

Whenever I reference either of the two fields I need from the Assignment EFF object, the screen in the Position Details section keeps loading indefinitely when I test the Business Rule in preview.
