Dashboard not allowing me to add reports

Su I cannot add a report to any dashboard

When I try to create a new dashboard, when I drag any report into the dashboard, it will not let me drop it in. A purple circle with a line through it shows up and it will not allow any report to be added. This is not report or permissions specific. I was able to create dashboards on Wednesday of last week, but on Thursday it stopped working. I asked the help desk but am not getting answers. Just wondering if anyone has ever had that issue before and what they did about it.
