Question About Bounceback Tracking When Bounceback Address Is Reportedly Non-Existent
in Eloqua
Hello,
We have a question regarding the [Eloqua Email Setup - Bounceback Configuration].
Our customer informed us that the bounceback email address currently configured in Eloqua is not an actual existing email address, and they also stated that the related subdomain does not exist.
However, bouncebacks are still being tracked and reported in Eloqua Insight and other performance reporting areas.
We would like to understand how bouncebacks can still be measured when the configured bounceback email address is reportedly non-existent.
Is the bounceback email address configured in Bounceback Configuration used only for receiving returned bounce messages, while the actual bounce tracking is handled separately within Eloqua?
