How to autopopulate proposed start date to current date while creating offer

In Responsive UI, while creating offer the proposed start date is auto defaulted to current date.

But when we moved to Redwood, the proposed start date is not auto-populated to current date and showing as blank.

Does anyone know what is the expression we need to use to "Auto-populate proposed start date to current date while creating offer".
