US LDG- UKG to Oracle Payroll Integration – Element Entry HDL vs Calculation Card HDL Approach

Hi Everyone,

We are currently designing an integration to load approved time entries from UKG into Oracle Cloud HCM for payroll processing.

Our understanding has been that when using an external time system like UKG (as the system of record), the recommended approach is to load time as Element Entries directly into Payroll.

However, we recently came across a reference suggesting that Oracle may recommend using PayrollTimeCard.dat/AbsenceEntry.dat to Calculation Cards.
