Employer Liabilities for Dental employer retroactive elements are in excess of $500,000

Summary:

Experiencing unusually large Employer Liability amounts in US Payroll Costing results related to the Dental Employer Retro element during retroactive pay calculations. Whenever there is a retropay, the dental employer retroactive element shows large $$ amounts in the Costing report. We raised a SR and Oracle support gave this response - Yes this has happened to few other customers and here are couple reasons why this could happen.  This happens when distributed costing is used and you have retro elements processed.

The reason is the employer liability is very minute like 0.01 and costing uses some algorithm behind the scenes-Distributed element run result/sum of set members run results) * each set member run result.

Howdy, Stranger!
