Merit Increase % rounding issue in workforce comp plan
Summary:
In our annual merit plan we have guidelines for merit increases based on performance, comp quartile. and country budget %. For example, if your performance rating is outstanding and you are in quartile 2, and whatever the country budget % is your manager will have a percentage range they need to stay within (5% to 7%). Prior to this year we never enforced that percentage range. This year our compensation team wants an alert to prevent submit if the manager goes above or below the guideline percentages.
In our workforce comp worksheet we have two guideline fields a ‘Merit Guideline % From’ field and a ‘Merit Guideline % To’ field (these are user defined fields that use dynamic formulas). The from field is the lowest percent the manager can use and the To field is the highest percent the manager can use.
