Integration between CPQ to Order Managment to Subscriptions Management

We have a business scenario where currently company is creating Quotes for devices (which are physcially shipped to customer and charged on per day usage) and also non physical products like Audio/Music where no shipment happens but monthly subscriptions are created.

We wanted to understand in both scenarios which options would be recommended:

  1. CPQ to OM - Sales orders in OM are created for physical products like devices. A seperate feed from CPQ to subscription contract is sent to create a Subscription contract for the device or Audio/Music. So when sales order is created it will not have any linkage with subscriptions from the order management perspective.
