Best Practice for displaying multiple Absence types in OTL Timecard Layout

I have a question regarding the Best Practice for displaying absences in OTL.

  1. Is it considered best practice to have approved absences automatically appear on the employee's timecard?
  2. If yes, what is the best way to configure the Time Entry Layout Components?

I don't want to create a separate field/column for each absence type (Annual, Sick, Casual, etc.) as it would make the layout too crowded and messy.

Is there a way to have a single "Absence" component that dynamically shows the type of leave taken? Or should I use the "Absence Integration" feature to sync them automatically?
