Unable to Update the Partystatus field in Account Object

Hi Team,

I am trying to update the PartyStatus field in the Account object based on a custom field value in Oracle Fusion Sales Cloud.

I tried the below approaches:

• Import Management → unable to find mapping for PartyStatus
• REST API → receiving error stating that the field cannot be updated
• UI Level → field is read-only

Could you please help confirm:

1. Whether PartyStatus is a system-controlled/read-only field?
2. Is there any supported approach to update this field through:
   • SOAP API
   • HDL/FBDI
   • Groovy Script
   • Backend process
3. Are there any alternative recommended approaches to inactivate accounts based on custom field values?

Please let me know if anyone has worked on a similar requirement.
