Contact Data Merge is not syncing from Sales to Fusion

Summary:
We have enabled CDM and are merging contacts in Fusion Sales. Eloqua is integrated with Sales Cloud.
Issue:
- Updates to Contact 1 are flowing correctly to Eloqua.
- After merging Contact 1 and Contact 2 in Fusion Sales, both contacts are still visible in Eloqua.
- The merge update/deletion is not syncing to Eloqua.
Example:
Before Merge:
- Contact 1
- Contact 2
After Merge in Fusion Sales:
- Contact 1 & Contact 2 merged into a single master contact
Expected Result:
- Only the surviving/master contact should remain in Eloqua.
- Duplicate/merged contact should be removed or marked accordingly in Eloqua.
Actual Result:
- Both Contact 1 and Contact 2 continue to exist in Eloqua even after the merge.
