Modify Make EFT Payments Extract so as to alter the XML output

Summary:

The bank file requirement of a client requires the national identifier to be included. This information is not included xml file output. Is there a way to add an additional tag? I saw a white papers where additional tags can be added to Payslip extract. I'm wondering if the same can be done to EFT extract?
