Rates-based salary defaulting to zero

Summary:

I have configured rates-based salary basis. Everything is otherwise ok, but the salary amounts are defaulted to zero in all transactions.

Anybody else facing the same issue?

We are in version 26B (11.13.26.04.0), but had the issue already earlier.
