How to block future dated activities from appearing on Technicians Route

Summary:

We would want the Technicians to see only assigned activities for current day and past activities. They should not be able to see activities for future dates.

We would want the Technicians to start their day in a central location by Activating Route and starting travel to an activity, we want to avoid Techs seeing their day's schedule in advance. Is this possible via creating a Filter to block future dated activities and assigning it to the Techs user type in OFSC? are there any other ways to achieve this?
