Put sales order on hold if SSD is far away in future

Hi,

We want to put sales orders on hold if SSD is far away in future eg. >90 days. We create a hold code, but what else needs to be done, how do we activate this hold. If we create a pause task after scheduling then what do we keep in pause rule and exit criteria so it is automatically applied if SSD>90 days and auto released whenever SSD reaches <90 days
