Sales Order Command Center - Pre-req setup clarification

As part of the prerequisite setup for the Sales Order Command Center Agentic App, one of the requirements is to enable the Order Management parameter:

Keep Override Schedule’s Original Value = Yes

Before making this change, I would like to understand the potential impact on our existing business processes.

Currently, we have custom Order Management extensions that override the following dates on EDI orders based on customer-specific transit time logic:

Scheduled Arrival Date
Scheduled Ship Date
Requested Ship Date

These overrides are critical to our fulfillment process and ensure that shipment dates align with customer delivery expectations.

If we enable Keep Override Schedule’s Original Value = Yes, will the system preserve the original values generated by scheduling and prevent subsequent updates from our extensions? More specifically:
