Redwood- Unable to hide 'Referral Source' field in 'Add a Pending Worker' (Personal Details)

We are trying to hide the Referral Source field on the Personal Details page within the Add a Pending Worker flow using Visual Builder Studio (VBS). However, we are encountering a strange behavior.

We created a Form rule and tried to set the field 'Referral Source' as 'Hidden' but it still appears. However, We noticed that the field is marked as "Required" and "Locked" in the Built-In Default Rule. Interestingly, if a user selects any value from the LOV (List of Values) dropdown, the field suddenly disappears. In the Default form rule, the field visibility is explicitly set.

  • Has anyone faced a similar issue where a required/locked field overrides VBS visibility rules until a value is selected?
