How do other Oracle customers track business travel

Summary:

We're trying to track when our salaried employees working remotely from AZ, CA, NV, OR, TX, and WA travel to Hawaii for company related meetings or training. Do you use an absence code like Business Travel and add a comment or do you track it differently? How do you know when your employees travel from state to state to flag the different state withholding regulations by state.

The payroll team will need to add the State of Hawaii withholding tax to their tax card. What type of reports do you have that will indicate employees on business travel? Our salaried exempt employee do not have timecards and are not required to clock in/out.
