Conference style ILT Registration

Summary:
I have a client that has a process to provide mass training in a conference style approach. They will have a one-day event, where people can attend one of many sessions. For example, there may be course 1, that runs from 9 to 11 AM. Or a learner can pick course 2 from 9 to 10, and/or course 3 from 10 - 11. So the learner cannot sign up for both course 1 and either one of the others. Does anyone else have this style of learning setup? Any ideas how to accomplish this in Oracle?
